SMC Medical Advisory Board
Vårt Medical Advisory Board är vår kvalitetsgaranti. I denna ingår oberoende team av svenska läkare och professorer med mångårig erfarenhet av att både praktisera och undervisa i medicin. Ledamöterna medverkar när vi väljer partners genom att kontrollera att dessa uppfyller strikta medicinska krav, kvalitetskrav och verksamhetskrav. När samarbetet väl inletts genomför de regelbundna uppföljningar. Vi är övertygade om att denna granskning av utomstående specialister är både kvalitetsutvecklande och det bästa sättet att säkerställa tillfredsställande behandlingskvalitet och resultat.
PER HAMBERG
Med. dr, ortopedispecialist. Verksam på Sophiahemmet ortopediskt center och Södersjukhuset, Stockholm. Per Hamberg är docent i ortopedi och har under många år varit överläkare på Södersjukhuset, där han ansvarat för knä- och höftprotesverksamheten. Han har lång erfarenhet av behandling och operationer av de flesta knäskador/sjukdomar, av höftprotesoperationer och behandling av idrottsskador. Pers avhandling handlade om artroskopiska operationer av meniskskador och han disputerade 1983. Per Hamberg har länge ägnat sig åt artroskopiska operationer i knän och axlar.
BENGT-ERIK CARBIN
Legitimerad läkare och urologispecialist. Bengt-Erik arbetade på Karolinska sjukhuset till 1995 och har sedan dess varit verksam vid Sophiahemmet i Stockholm, där han driver Carbin Urologi. Hans avhandling handlade om urinblåsecancer och han har publicerat flera vetenskapliga artiklar.
INGEMAR BLOMGREN
Docent Ingemar Blomgren har bedrivit plastikkirurgi sedan 1981 med många år på Karolinska Sjukhuset och Sahlgrenska Sjukhuset. Under de senaste 15 åren har han arbetat med estetisk plastikkirurgi på egen klinik, KirurgCentrum i centrala Stockholm. Ingemar Blomgren utbildar sig kontinuerligt genom resor till USA, Brasilien, Kina, Sydafrika och platser i Europa, och han har även gett populära föreläsningar om olika ämnen inom plastikkirurgi. Medlem i Sveriges läkarförbund och Svensk förening för estetisk plastikkirurgi, där han även är medlem av det etiska rådet.
PROFESSOR BO PHILIPSON
Bo Philipson är legitimerad läkare och specialist i ögonsjukdomar. Bo är företagsledare för Stockholms ögonklinik och har tidigare varit klinikchef på S:t Eriks ögonsjukhus och professor vid Karolinska Institutet. Han har varit med och utvecklat ögonkirurgin inom ögats främre delar, dvs. kataraktkirurgi och hornhinnekirurgi. Varje år utförs ca 100 000 operationer i Sverige enligt de metoder som Philipson varit med om att introducera.
MAGNUS ANNERSTEDT
M.D. Urologic surgeon. Specialized in minimal invasive surgery, especially robot assisted surgery. Prostate, kidney and bladder. Performed over 300 RARC with intracorporeal reconstruction. In total towards 2000 major robotic procedures. Dr.Annerstedt has trained Ireland’s urology specialists in robot surgery techniques. Consultant at the UroClinic, Stockholm.Magnus Annerstedt educated at Gothenburg University and received his medical degree in 1995, a specialist in urology in 2001 at the county hospital in Halmstad. Author of scientific articles and textbook chapters in urology. He is hired by scientific journals as a branch expert. Magnus Annerstedt has trained a large number of colleagues in Sweden and Europe in the field of robotic surgery. He has conducted more than 1,200 cancer surgeries with the surgical robot. Member of the Swedish Medical Association, Swedish Society of Medicine, Swedish Urological Association, European Association of Urology (EAU), the European Robotic Urology Society (ERUs) - board member.
JONAS HUGOSSON
Professor and Chairman of Department of Urology, Institute of Clinical Sciences at Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg. Consultant Urologist at Carlanderska Hospital, Gothenburg. Have a broad clinical experience in Urological Surgery, General Surgery, Vascular Surgery. Was one of those who introduced radical prostatectomy in the 80 thies in Scandinavia and is the one who has performed most prostatectomies in Scandinavia (2438 surgeries until June 2016). At the moment annually performed between 130 and 150 prostatectomies and since April 2014 the majority as robot assisted prostatectomies (Da Vinci). Large experiences in bladder cancer surgery and urinary diversions. Board Member in ESOU (European Society of Oncological Urology). Board Member of ESMO (European Society of Medical Oncology) Guide line Group. Nordic Medical Award in 2016 (the second most prestigious prize in Medicine in the Nordic countries after the Nobel Prize). Bard prize for best presentation at Svenska Riksstämman (Urologi) in 1992. Elected as author of one of the 5 best Urological papers in 1994 by Journal of Urology. Author (first author) of paper awarded by EAU with “Best urooncological Paper Award 2011 ESOU”.

Professor at Department of Surgical Sciences, Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at Uppsala University. Ph.D. degree in 1978 at Karolinska Hospital/Karolinska Institute. Honorary Professor of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery at the Tianjin Medical Uni-versity, China (1999) and the Beijing Hospital (Ministry of Public Health), China (2000). Honorary Head of Tianjin Institute of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology of the First Central Hospital (2002), China. Guest Professor at Xi´an Jiatong University (2006-2008), China. Karnik award (2000; Nepal). Joshi orden (2003; India). SPIO (Society for Promotion of Inter-national Oto-Rhino-Laryngology; Japanese Society of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery) award and special prize (2006). Ortho-McNeil Professorship awarded 2003 by Uni-versity of Miami Medical School, Miami, Florida, USA. The Mångberg Prize, Medical Faculty University of Umeå, Sweden (2007). Honorary Member of the Spanish Society of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (2005). Honorary Chairman of the Chinese Medical Association in Sweden (2009). Advisor to Medical Research Councils in Germany and France. Member of the medical board of the international company Bionorica. Member of committees (by invitation from different universities) for appointing professors and department heads both in Sweden and internation-ally (Denmark, Finland, England, Norway, USA). Editor-in-Chief for the Swedish textbook of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery (1991, 2001; 2006), the European textbook (2009, in press) and Handbook on Advanced Head and Neck Surgery (China, 2009, in press, by invitation). Board member of the international Collegium ORLAS (Oto-Rhino-Laryngologicum Amicitiae Sacrum). Editor/associate editor of the international journals ORL (Switzerland), Oto-Rhino-Laryngologia Nova (Switzerland) (6 years) and ENT Journal (USA). Board member of the international journal Medical Molecular Morphology (Japan) (from 2000 and forwards). Founder member of the European Academy of Otology & Neuro-Otology (EAONO).
